Design that Gives Back
As we're coming out of a deep recession (we are coming out, aren't we??) and heading into the emotional week surrounding the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, we wanted to keep our eyes on the positive here at Simplifying Fabulous! There are so many companies, groups and individuals that are taking the glass-is-half-full approach that are giving back in a time when abundance can seem scarce.
I invite you to join in tomorrow evening at 5pm ET on Twitter to chat about design, charity and giving back! #DesignTV is a weekly design-centered forum run by hosts Amy from ABCD Designs and interior designer Jonathan Legate (both who are also attending Blogtour2011!) as a way for like-minded folks to join together, throw around ideas, share resources and look to eachother to inspiration. Each week focuses on a different topic from "travel as design inspiration" to "hostess gifts!" This week, I'm thrilled to be subbing in for Amy as co-host as we focus on design and charity. Whether you run a company that has a charitable edge, are a designer who wants to use socially conscious resources, or to share a cause close to your heart, I think that everyone will benefit from the conversation!
Hope to see you Thursday September 8th at 5pm ET/2pm PT on Twitter using the hastag #designTV! If you've never taken part in a Twitter chat before, I recommend signing onto Tweetchat.com and follow DesignTV!
