New York Fashion Week Trends Come Inside
The first sign of fall in New York City isn’t the changing of the leaves or the smell of cider wafting from the local markets...it’s the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week! Starting this Thursday, a sea of stilettos will take over Lincoln Center to get a first glimpse at the upcoming fashion trends for next spring. I’ll let you in on a little secret: The trends we see rocking the runways are oftentimes introduced into our homes the next season or so later. So, by keeping an eye on couture, you can be a trendsetter when it comes to your home!
Here are five of our favorite fashion-turned-interior trends that you can look forward to this fall:

Bring Casual Friday home in a number of ways: Pairing denim pillows with contrasting colors for a pop; Add warmth to a room with a rug, or give a formal dining room a dose of casual with denim chair slipcovers. Keep in mind, denim doesn’t necessarily mean blue – this sofa from Crate & Barrel comes in a multitude of denim-friendly colors, from charcoal to classic to coffee.

The bold colors bring a sense of energy to a room, and the trend can be created in small or large doses. For a fresh fall take on this vibrant design, opt for autumn-inspired colors, such as harvesting oranges, yellows, greens, and browns.

Demand for Denim

A trend that is swirling through the design world is the marbleized look.
