New York Fashion Week Trends Come Inside
The first sign of fall in New York City isn’t the changing of the leaves or the smell of cider wafting from the local markets...it’s the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week! Starting this Thursday, a sea of stilettos will take over Lincoln Center to get a first glimpse at the upcoming fashion trends for next spring. I’ll let you in on a little secret: The trends we see rocking the runways are oftentimes introduced into our homes the next season or so later. So, by keeping an eye on couture, you can be a trendsetter when it comes to your home! Here are five of our favorite fashion-turned-interior trends that you can look forward to this fall:
Demand for DenimThis fall, designers are dabbling in denim! As jean jackets make their way back into your closet, introduce durable denim into your interiors for a classic Americana look. rug, or give a formal dining room a dose of casual with denim chair slipcovers. Keep in mind, denim doesn’t necessarily mean blue – this sofa from Crate & Barrel comes in a multitude of denim-friendly colors, from charcoal to classic to coffee.
Lace EmbraceI’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again – lace is everywhere! It’s appearing on runways and in rooms alike and not just in fabric form.

Marbleized ModA trend that is swirling through the design world is the marbleized look. Resurrected from the 70s, it’s been given an updated makeover using modern colors.
What’s great about this trend is that it can be created on any color or surface. Best used in moderation, try it out on smaller accessories such as pillows, chandelier shades, or vases.
