Color Inspiration with 20x200 and Benjamin Moore
Last Friday marked the end of our "What's Your Color Story" photo contest with affordable art site 20x200 and Benjamin Moore. Twenty seven inspirational color stories were told over a week. Although the color inspiration spanned the rainbow, there were some subject matter themes that popped up...

After all of these lovely photographs were uploaded, we asked the public to choose what was inspirational to them! We opened up the polls for a voting frenzy and we crowned our winners!
This is a photo I took in the small town of Manzanillo, Costa Rica on our Honeymoon. I am in love with the turquoise... Even in what some may find to be ruins, I see beauty! This color makes me feel warm, and happy and is just fun!
The sunset over Oia, a small town on the tip of the Greek island of Santorini. This photo is particularly poignant to me as I was traveling solo—it was one month before I met my fiance—and enjoyed the quietude of a glass of Prosecco while watching nature play out in a most spectacular way. People flock from all over the world just to see this sunset—truly a humbling sight to behold.
Seeing the blue bonnets poking up from the winter snow gave me such hope of the spring to come. That is how I want my home to feel like, like hope of all the good to come still.
Lenore won a framed 8x10 print of her choice from 20x200, where you can browse affordable art by price, category and...color! Her love of penguins attracted her to Penguin, Memphis, TN by Geoffrey Ellis. The photo is part of Ellis' project, Horses, Dolls and Other Junk, that "pays homage to items in flea markets, junk shops, record shops, secondhand stores and personal collections. Across seemingly disjointed images of old toys and decaying photographs that was once hot, a greater picture of unpolished America emerges." So interesting! Great choice Lenore!
To everyone who participated in our Facebook Photo contest, who helped promote and vote, to 20x200 and to Benjamin Moore, we say:
