Behind the Scenes at Kravet

Back in May, Simplifying Fabulous had the immense pleasure of attending Blogfest 2011, a three day smorgasboard of exclusive interior design-related events. Over 150 interior design bloggers from all around the country descended upon NYC to rub elbows with some of the biggest editors in the shelter magazine world, and to meet fellow bloggers (in person!) and the great folks behind one of the greatest fabric houses in the world: Kravet, Lee Jofa and Brunchwig & Fils. While there is so much to share about the event, I wanted to highlight one of my favorite parts: a behind-the scenes look at how Kravet turns inspired ideas into high-quality textiles. Being in New York City, my team and I are popping in and out of showrooms in the New York Design Center and the Decoration & Design Building almost daily, and we know the fabrics and the showrooms, etc. But to get a feel for the creative process behind the lines was really a treat. Inspiration was truly everywhere...take a look:
