Hello Fabulistas! Sometimes design is about the absence of space. That’s what I love so much about wire and steel furniture and accessories. They’re graphic while allowing room to admire the other design elements in a room. Here are some of my favorite wire-style pieces. dining

Bertoia chairs

Henry Bertoia designed these lovely side chairs in 1952 of welded steel rods. They give the wire look in a sturdy design that’s truly covetable. The chair was designed with a removable vinyl seat, but I prefer it with faux fur throws and graphic pillows.

Felicia Ferrone birdcage-like lamps

You can hardly log on to Pinterest or open a design magazine without spotting a wire pendant light. They’re everywhere and for good reason. They’re fabulous without being over-the-top. These Felicia Ferrone lamps are making their debut at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair and I can’t wait to see images of the real thing!

Brass tabletop wire accent

I’m always on the hunt for beautiful tabletop accessories. This dramatic sculpture would look gorgeous in all kinds of vignettes. I adore a home accessory with presence!

Marmo marble-top table

Mixed materials don’t always make for my favorite pieces. However, this Marmo table by Olof Jakobina makes marble seem so much more accessible. The bold turquoise brings out the gorgeous veining in the top. This would be fabulous as a side table in a white living room with pops of color.
