Hello Fabulistas! I’m wrapping up all the prep work for my Design on a Dime vignette and I couldn’t be any more excited. Stay tuned for more details tomorrow! For now, though, I want to highlight one of my favorite interior trends right now, the industrial look. It sounds cold and hard, but the weathered metals and woods add warmth and major style! Never has anything factory-related been as chic since Andy Warhol’s scene!

A big part of this trend is exposure. Designers are making a point of revealing how things are constructed. That goes for old-fashioned Edison-style light bulbs, too. What a fab industrial addition to a lamp you already own!

One of my favorite ways to add industrial style is with metal seating. There’s a time and place for cushioned dining chairs, but it’s not in a loft! How chic (and practical) are these architectural stools?

There are all kinds of amazing handmade industrial pieces on websites like Etsy. Trust me, there’s something for every person and budget! I love these light-up wall letters. These would look so cute in an entryway or teenager’s room. Plus, what a way to make sure all corners of your room are lit up!

One of the most popular industrial items I keep seeing are these old factory pallets-turned coffee tables. They’re perfect for a mobile surface and are sturdy enough to stand up to just about anything your kids can throw at them.

What do you think of all these industrial chic items? Do you think the trend is here to stay?
