Hello Lovlies! NYC is a great city filled with talented people and so much inspiration. There are some fab interior designers here in New York…and some FAB interior design blogs! I love my blog community and I’m especially proud of so many NYC interior design bloggers. Today I’m going to share my top 10 NYC interior design blogs with you. To find your personal fabulous, you have to find your inner voice. And these bloggers have done that! If there are blogs I’ve left off that you think should be on the list, let me know.
Design Sponge was launched by founder Grace Bonney in 2004 and has been going strong ever since. If you need design information THIS is the place to go. The site is updated 6-8 times a day! Grace and her writers talk about DIY ideas, before and after projects, gorgeous spaces and more… they also get into entertainment ideas and review awesome products.
Design Milk is a design and architecture blog created by the fabulous Jamie Derringer. If you’re a design geek (like me!) you MUST visit Jamie’s blog. She has a diverse editorial calendar, and one of my favorites is the monthly column, Destination Design.
Obviously designer Jonathan Adler’s blog is FAB… just like him! It’s not a traditional blog. It’s called Musings, and on it Jonathan shares his latest thoughts on design. We get to go “deep and not so deep into the brain of Jonathan Adler”. So clever!
Interior designer Sarah Sarna has a fabulous blog, Live The Life You Dream About. When I read her blog, I really want to live out my dreams! Sarah has over 12 years of design experience under her belt and currently runs her own firm. She definitely knows what she’s doing… I LOVE everything she writes about!
Dwell Studio is more than just a store… they have a blog and a Tumblr account! I adore Dwell. They’re flagship store just opened in Soho and everything inside is to die for. The blog is just as exciting, with such great content. I pop in almost every day!
Little Green Notebook is the perfect NYC interior design blog. It’s run by designer Jenny Komenda. Jenny shares fabulous things she finds and projects she’s working on. Jenny has a great eye and I love that she gives us real, usable design tips! You MUST visit!
Bunny Williams is more than just an interior designer, she’s an entrepreneur! Bunny started designing in 1988 and she does more than just interiors. She also has an incredible furniture line and finds time to run a design blog!
Matchbook Magazine is technically a magazine but I’m putting it in the blog category because of the fab, fresh content. Although the magazine covers the world, one of the founders, Jane Lilly Warren is a native Manhattanite, and I think that’s what gives this e-mag it’s edge! The interiors in this magazine are stunning!
The Decorista is run by NYC interior designer Ashlina Kaposta. Every day I pop into her blog for some colorful interior eye-candy and I am NEVER disappointed! (You may remember…I interviewed Ashlina a few weeks ago for Fab Friday.)
Material Girls is a design blog that covers more than just NYC! It also covers design in Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas and Houston and is run by a fabulous group of ladies. I love that you can get so much information, from so many places, all on one blog! My favorite feature is Furniture Friday!
Are there any NYC interior design blogs you adore that aren’t on this list? Are any of these new to you or do you read them all? Leave me a comment and let me know!
