Hello Fabulistas! I can’t believe Halloween is here. It’s the one day of the year we’re allowed to eat tons and tons of candy with zero guilt! While I know I’ll be seeing the typical store-bought candy in my neighborhood, I’m planning on mixing it up this year. I’m going to make some gourmet candy of my own. Here are a few recipes I’ve been thinking about. Candy Apples I love to work with seasonal items and it’s the season for apples! I’ve had some pretty good candy apples, but nothing is better than making them yourself. Making candy apples at home is something everyone can get involved in, husbands, kids and parents! robin1

Handmade Candy Corn I’ve associated candy corn with Halloween for years! We all know they aren’t the healthiest of seasonal candies, but when you make them yourself you eliminate the preservatives. And of course, you can’t beat the fresh taste. This is another fun family activity. robin2

Candy Corn Cream Pops If you love the colors of candy corn but don’t love the flavors, you’ll love these. I like to make these early in the day and freeze them. They’re a great surprise for the kids at the end of the day! robin3

Caramel Candy Gold Bars Caramel is the perfect dessert! Not everyone loves chocolate so this is a nice alternative. These tiny candies are great year-round. I like to wrap them up and give them to friends and family throughout the holidays. robin4

Salted Caramel Treats If you find caramel to be a bit too sweet, you may enjoy these salted caramel treats. Salted caramel may be my new favorite flavor, especially in ice cream. I’m going to package these up right along with the gold bars, they’ll be such a hit! robin5
