Fabulous Style Underfoot for Project Design 2014 for Ronald McDonald House of Long Island

Hello Fabulistas! I was excited to get a corner suite for Project Design 2014. One of the unique features of the rooms at Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is that they are angled. This creates a challenge when it comes to rugs. I’m not always the biggest fan of wall-to-wall carpet (of course there are always exceptions!) and I felt that a rectangular area rug wouldn’t play off the angles as well as I’d like. So my idea was to do two round rugs, one larger and one smaller. I thought this would make a statement and help the space feel larger.

With that in mind, I went to Stark Carpet knowing they always have the best in floor coverings. Whether it’s Tibetan, Oriental, or hand-hooked rugs, or their expansive broadloom selection, they always have what I’m looking for. I made my selection, gave Stark Carpet the sizes…and voila, here they are on installation day. I couldn’t be happier with how they look!

Just any old nightstand wouldn’t do for this special suite. I needed one that could hold its own with all of my other custom furnishings for Project Design 2014. Baker Furniture stepped up for the great cause and supplied me with this stunner! I can always count on Baker for on-trend, chic pieces that make a strong statement.
