Hello Fabulistas! I welcome lots of visitors into my home during the winter months, mainly because of the holidays and the prime entertaining opps they bring. I like to decorate my tables like they belong in a page of a magazine. (Even the better for fab Instagram snaps!) With a little planning, you can create your own magazine-worthy tablescapes, too. Here are a few of my favorite go-to tips. Add height to your table Height adds drama, which is essential for a chic tablesetting. I like to add height to my table with tall flowers or plants as the centerpiece. This helps to draw your eye upward while making a statement. robin1

Use a variety of shapes I like to use different shapes for chargers and plates to catch your eye. You can also use different shaped glasses for water and wine. Not everything has to match. Different is interesting! robin2

Remember layers are important Sometimes it can be tough to find the perfect placemat to fit my decor. In those cases, I like to layer placemats of different colors and textures. You can also add a napkin over the placemat or under the charger. With a little imagination, you can create interesting layers anywhere! robin3

Use unique accent bowls I adore using bling-y bowls to hold additional items that may be needed, like napkins, silverware or even gift favors. Depending on what you’re serving for dinner, you can also use the accent bowls to serve sauces and sides. robin4

Incorporate personal details The tiny details are what will put smiles on your guests’ faces. Print out custom menu cards, name plates or jokes. A personalized table is what makes a tablescape truly noteworthy. The details will show your guests you put thought and effort into the decor and dinner, and will make them feel fab! robin5
