Design Insider: Fab Pendant Light Styles

Hello Fabulistas! I love well-lit rooms. They just feel… happier! And using the right lighting can turn a space from pretty to fabulous! There are many instances where floor lamps or table lamps don’t fit into a design. In those cases, we need to light the space in another way, and I turn to penant lamps. Pendant lamps are great because they can evoke so many emotions. I have a few go-to pendant styles I turn to when designing: The Lantern Lanterns are fabulous because they can be used in traditional, transitional and modern spaces. I love using lantern pendants in entry foyers. They have a great way of setting a tone for the home! They’re also available in several sizes and finishes so you can find one that’s right for you.

The Minimal Many times we need a bit of light without a huge statement. I’m often looking for something that fits with the look of my space, but doesn’t take away from the design. That’s when I turn to the minimal-style pendant.

The Intricate Lace and intricate details are very on trend right now! I have a feeling they will be in style for a long time, so investing in an intricate light would be a smart idea. I adore lighting with tiny details, it makes spaces feel more cozy. Don’t you think?

Molded Veneer I LOVE lamps made with molded veneer. The curved shapes surrounding the bulb throws beautiful shapes over the space. Veneer is available in a variety of colors, but I prefer natural wood. Somehow this style always fits into my designs!

Filament Pendants Filament pendants are here to stay! They provide a rustic, charming look that can be incorporated into many spaces. I like to use them in traditional homes to continue the traditional look, or more modern spaces to add some personality.
