Hello Fabulistas! The IFDA NY Take a Seat Auction was just one noteworthy night in the design world last week. The Alpha Awards were held last Tuesday night. This annual awards presentation is a way to honor those close to The Alpha Workshops . Alpha Workshops is one of the very special organizations. It is the nation’s only non-profit providing creative HIV-positive individuals with industry-specific training and employment in the decorative arts. This years honorees included Guy Clark , Shelley and Donald Rubin , and David Sheppard, Executive Director of DIFFA . There’s nothing more gratifying than helping out a great causeand honoring those that those that commit their lives to doing good and giving back! While at the awards, I ran into my friends from Artistic Tile , one of my very favorite companies, Lauren Cherkas , President, and Michael Epstein, VP of Marketing.
I also caught up with the fabulous Rio Hamilton of Niedermaier .
Its always wonderful to see Michael Boodro, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE DECOR . I love that he supports so many fabulous causes.
