3D Lenticular prints create an impression of dimensional, in-depth imaging, adding depth and motion to a printed work of art, allowing the eye to concurrently view alternating sections of multiple images. Strandell layers her drawings and painted images to create spatial ambiguities; as one walks back and forth in front of the print, various depths/layers of the composition reveal themselves and then disappear, depending upon the movement. She conflates her signature references to mid-century and Asian motifs to compose a pastiche that messes with time and space, underscoring her pairing of seemingly disparate elements.
