How-To: Choose the Perfect Vacation Spot

If you've been shopping and gifting like me, you could use a vacation right about...well...now! Sometimes the stress of planning a trip can be so overwhelming. Don't worry, I'm here to help! 1. Where do you want to go? First decide what kind of vacation do you want. Beach, adventure, culture? Once you answer this question, half the planning is already done! How to choose the perfect vacation spot

2. What's your budget? You can get every type of vacation here in the United States for a relatively low cost. If you have a little more cash to burn, you can find fabulous vacation spots anywhere else in the world. You know my favorite place in the world is Paris (can I trademark "J'adore Paris"?!), so you shouldn't be surprised about this suggestion...France, anyone? How to choose the perfect vacation spot

3. Find the perfect deals! Travel search engines are your friends! The big sites, like Travelocity, Orbitz and Expedia, definitely get you the best deals. Now that you scored a deal, it's all about creating memories. If you're like me, you don't want to feel like a tourist. Ask friends and family about the best sites, must-try restaurants, and prefect places to go on a shopping spree. The more inside information about your destination, the better!

4. Get reading! Get a guide. If you don't have time to read it, no worries! I always flip through it on the plane and highlight the places I have to visit.

5. Find a spa! Every vacation MUST end in a spa treatment, to get you ready for the real world again. Coming home can be the worst part of a vacation if you're not fully rested.
