On the Rise: 10 Designers to Watch in 2013 (Part I)
The power of three--Stefanie Brechbuehler, Robert Andrew Highsmith, and Ryan Mahoney--made incredible things happen in the public spaces and bar of the Wythe Hotel. They concentrated on making the factory-turned-hotel feel like a home away from home with domestic touches. Can you believe this is their first commercial project? The demand for their firm is sure to keep growing!
Bonus: Highsmith designed the sculptural lighting fixtures seen throughout the space.
If you're a stylish young parent in New York City, you must call on Lilly to decorate your pad. She combines chic and kid-friendly designs that don't scream "spill-proof fabric" like so many do.
Bonus: She spent five years in the fashion department at Town & Country before pursuing her true calling of interior design.
The designer struck out on her own by collaborating with a friend on his restaurant, The Lion. Her style is masculine and can be a little macabre, which makes for some interesting, homey details worth pondering over.
Bonus: Meg started her career in international store development for Ralph Lauren.
