Design on a Dime: Recap
Hello Fabulistas! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! I used mine to recover from the whirlwind that was Housing Works Design on a Dime 2013! I had a fabulous time, met some great designers and took in all kinds of amazing design displays! Here's mine before the big event right after I finished setting up! I was inspired by Hollywood glam. Can you tell? There was a wealth of fab design power on display at the event. Here are just a few of my favorite setups: One of my favorites was this super colorful setup from HGTV Design Star judge Genevieve Gorder for Valspar. There are so many gorgeous colorful prints going on, from the rug to the couch. It's so much for the eye to take in! I love all the calming neutrals in this Huniford vignette. It's so soothing. I could just imagine myself relaxing in this and finding tranquility after a stressful day. Now, when I think of the word fabulous, I think of a setup like the Yetta Banks for Viacom one. White, black and fuschia really take the style level of this vignette to the next level! Patterns are definitely having a moment in design right now. This Healing Barsanti vignette shows how you can play with patterns while you still to neutrals and similar color palettes. The pattern on the walls is just plain amazing! I've talked about how much I love sea foam on the blog before. So I adored what Bjorn Bjornsson Interior Design did with the gorgeous shade here. The gold accents and white furry pillows do amazing thing to play up the shade! Which one of these vignettes do you love the most? What upcoming design trends can you spot in them?
