Design Insider: What's New What's Next at the New York Design Center

Hello Fabulistas! What's New What's Next was the latest, greatest event at the New York Design Center at 200 Lexington Ave. Jim Druckman has truly made the NYDC a real destination for the design market. What’s New What’s Next had a great turnout last Thursday. The day was filled with fabulous events and it was incredible to see so many people come out in support of the industry. Currey & Co. hosted a wonderful event in honor of the Ronald McDonald House of LI, Project Design 2014. Here were just a few people that I ran into at the event.

The fun didn’t stop at the Currey & Co. cocktail party. During the afternoon and evening I ran into many people I knew at all of the showroom events.

Here I am with Aerin Lauder, who just launched her new Aerin collection at the brand new E.J. Victor showroom.

For me, gold is the new black! Here I am with part of Aerin’s new collection. It looked so glam and inviting…I couldn’t resist!

I’m a big supporter of Kravet, so I had to go see Jeffrey Alan Marks speak in their showroom. He has a collection of fabrics he designed exclusively for the company. You may recognize him from Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators!

One of my many personal highlights was stopping by The New Traditionalists showroom, where I saw my friend Mollie O’Connor and CEO Philip Erdoes. They always throw a great party…or on this day, three to be exact! Here we are at the Moroccan-themed festivity. Their parties may be great, but it’s their furniture that keeps me coming back!

Hickory Chair | Pearson unveiled their newly designed showroom for this event. It was beautiful…congratulations!

What’s New What’s Next was a fantastic event. I can’t wait to see how NYDC is going to top it next year!

Our homes are a reflection of who we are…they also help us become who we want to be.

Place objects that inspire and uplift you in key locations throughout your home. Also...a little Feng Shui goes a long way!
