Hello Fabulistas! Now that there’s a nip in the air in New York City, I’m longing for soft and comfy fabrics. The cable knit pattern is a classic for sweaters, but I’ve seen it popping up in the home sector often, too. Here are some of my favorite ways to use cable knits at home. cable

Cup cozy

It seems like I always have a cup of coffee or hot tea in my hand. A lot of the times that’s on the go. I’ve had my eye on one of these reusable cup cozies for a while. This would be a fab little way to get in on this trend!

Cable knit pouf

Curling up with a knit pouf might be the next best thing to wrapping up in a huge cable knit sweater. I suggest poufs like this for my clients with small children because they’re nice alternatives to other parts of furniture that have sharp edges.

Knit lampshade

If I hadn’t seen this myself, I wouldn’t have thought about using this trend for a lampshade. I know that it seems kind of crazy, but it’s so fab!

Faux cable knit cup

It may be a mere imitation of cable knit, but this pencil cup is tres chic! When it comes to office supplies , I’m a sucker for something fab and unique. This would be such a great way to liven up a desk.
