Hello Fabulistas! While I LOVE living in New York, sometimes I need a mini break from the hustle and bustle. The constant on-the-go lifestyle gets to me after a while and I need to get away and recharge. Does this happen to you? While I don’t often have time for long vacations, I try to get in a few weekend trips here and there. There are so many weekend escapes, right here at our footsteps! The Hamptons I LOVE the Hamptons. Three hours outside of the city we have gorgeous beaches and fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean. If you live here in NYC, chances are you have a friend that has a house you can use for a weekend. If not, there are plenty available to rent! It’s one of the most relaxing places I’ve been, and it’s just a drive away. Simplifying Travel

North Fork, Long Island Also on Long Island you’ll find North Fork, home to many wineries. You can plan a day trip or a full weekend trip to the wineries in North Fork, depending on how much time you have. There are some adorable bed and breakfasts, and some delicious food! Simplifying Travel

The Poconos If you’re ready to cross state lines you can head to the Poconos. The mountains are located in Pennsylvania and have something to do at all times of the year. In the winter you can ski and in the summer you can hike or canoe. Yes, there’s a casino too. If you feel like you miss the crowds you can head there. Simplifying Travel

New Hope, PA I love quaint towns and their lovely architecture. Sometimes, when I need to get away I head to New Hope, PA. It’s just a short drive away from NYC but you really do feel like you’re worlds away. You can go antiquing and have dinner at a lovely B&B. Simplifying Travel

Atlantic City I love the excitement of Vegas, but I don’t always have 6 hours to fly there. When I’m feeling like I need a thrill I head down to Atlantic City. The new posh casino, Revel, is so luxe! And there are so many fabulous restaurants at every casino! Simplifying Travel
