44 Years of Fabulous. Last night’s Kips Bay President’s Dinner

Hi Fabulistas, Thanks to all who have already started partaking in the the ASID NY Metro’s first ever Spring Spruce Up! This is an incredible opportunity everyone should take advantage of! As we continue to spread the positive messages of empowerment through design, I’d like to mention another fund-raising event on the near horizon: the Kips Bay Decorator Show House.

I’m delighted to share that since its inception in 1973, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House has helped raise over $20 million dollars for much-needed after-school and enrichment programs for New York City children. Last night was the annual President’s Dinner to celebrate the organization’s 44th annual Show House and over 100 years of service for children, an absolutely fabulous event!

Hosted by Architectural Digest and attended by New York’s most influential design community, everything from the table settings to the outfits in the crowd to the décor was “off-the-wall.” The night ended with a beautiful speech from the President of Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, James P. Druckman — commemorating the designers of the past and present for donating their time and creativity to such a wonderful cause for children in need.
