My office just got a fab new espresso machine from Philips Saeco, and it got me thinking about necessary pleasures. For me, these include chocolate, my venti two-pump chai (no water, no foam), girly TV nights with my daughter Chloe, and the occasional glam jewelry purchase (metallics all the way, baby!).

Highlights from the NYIGF!

It’s one of my favorite weeks of the year – New York International Gift Fair week! Granted, by now the show is coming to an end…one-of-a-kind furniture and tables covered in handcrafted jewelry and treasures are being dismantled, and thousands of people are pouring out of the Javitz Center.

BiTTT Event with Vicente Wolf and Wendy Goodman

When I heard that one of my favorite women’s networking groups, BiTTT (“Bring it to the Table”) was holding an event in the Vicente Wolf Home showroom, I knew I had to check it out! Vicente is one of those designers who is constantly upping the ante when it comes to finding eye-catching, unusual pieces for his collections…from wooden tribal sculptures to oversized stone seashells to vibrant beaded jewelry.
